Well my interest is piqued. As soon as I remember to buy one of those tangible book things, I will try to have a squizz for this one. They are made of paper, right? and have nice pictures on the front?
This sounds like a fun book, and yes I can see Alec being a nit like Maurice - apart from that name, I keep thinking of that big ape that hung around with that yellow cat thing with the wicked long tail.
Pointless info, but I once had a dream about talking mice - freaked me out so much that I basically just stare at mice when I see them.

Now I'm curious. I may have to check this out myself. And I agree, Maurice sounded the most like Alec to me. He has some killer lines that I could completely see Alec saying.
Thanks for the review!

Got to say Kel you have got me all curious. I read some Terry Prachett books a long while ago but never this one.
Sounds great..though does remind me in some ways of Mrs Frisby and the Rats of Nimh a little (think I have a thing for talking animals..Pink and the Brain as well!!)
Got to say the whole reading DA into anything is happening to me..see the characters in other movies....is this called obsession??

I have no idea if they have books of Terry Pratchett translated here in Holland, but I think i'll check the library, they also have lots of english books there. Sounds like a good book to take on my holiday.
