Nature

by CN Rooney

(The Crawlspace geocities website is currently out of action, so you can access the article directly from the above link. )

Written in script format, this heart-wrenching piece by Roon lays bare the horrors of a world turned hostile, and teaches us the repercussions of war...

You know how much I love this.

I was gripped more by this short, than by most full length movies I've seen. Not even exaggerating.

Powerful and heartbreaking. Smiley

You're a very talented lady, Roon. Smiley

With this short you have produced incredible images of devastation and desperation.

You visual cues are amazing and this is a terribly powerful and gutwrenching look at the what may be.

From the female pouint of view..war is not about guns and bombs...it is about the aftermath and picking up the pieces. This makes this a very shattering viewpoint!!

Thankyou for the brilliance Roon!!

This is amazingly vivid. It gave me chills right from my scalp to my toes. A young girl, exploring relics of the by-gone era we know as now, as if she is of a primeval race, rather than a child of what could be the future.

Her seeming innocence strikes at us, causing us to in the least, frown at our inability to reach into the story to hug her and bring her into a normal world...

But then with a snap the innocence is replaced by a cold apathy at taking the life of another for the sake of survival. And we back away with fear and horror in our eyes, to see that a child so seemingly naive and lost, is in fact a killer/hunter/survivor.

Survival of the fittest at its scariest...

Yep, three simple words but dunno, somehow it just hit - like the rest of this one too. I actually saw it all happen so that tells you have detail writing and the whole visual side done good!

I pretty much agree with Lost in the Void: "From the female pouint of view..war is not about guns and bombs...it is about the aftermath and picking up the pieces. This makes this a very shattering viewpoint!!"

exactly!! That was brilliant piece Rooney! Smiley
